Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 6 c
• salt - 1 c
• vinegar - 6 c
• celery seed - 2 tsp
• whole cloves - 2 tsp
• mustard seed - 2 tsp
• sliced medium onions - 6 item
• sliced medium cukes - 6 qt

How to make bread and butter pickles:

Combine the cukes, onion and salt; let stand 3 hours in cold water. Drain. Add the remaining ingredients. Let come to a boil. Put into airtight sterilized jars.
