Bread and butter pickles

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 5 c
• salt - 3 c
• vinegar - 3 c
• cloves garlic - 3 item
• celery seed
• medium onions, chopped - 6 item
• mustard seed - 2 Tbsp
• turmeric
• cucumbers, sliced - 4 6
• to 4 bell peppers, chopped - 2 item

How to make bread and butter pickles:

Cover first 3 items with ice for 1/2 hour. Bring remaining ingredients to a boil. Add cucumber mix. Bring to a rolling boil. Remove from heat. Put in jars and seal.
