Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cider vinegar - 2 c
- celery seed - 3/4 tsp
- onion, sliced thin - 1 item
- mustard seed - 3/4 tsp
- turmeric - 1/2 tsp
- pickling salt - 1/4 c
- to 10 medium cucumbers, sliced thin - 6 item
How to make bread and butter pickles:
Wash cucumbers and drain. Slice thin, as for table use. Mix all other ingredients and pour over slices. Mix together lightly. Place in glass jars and refrigerate. Can be eaten after 24 hours. Nice and crispy.Recipe categories: American, Condiments, etc., Vegetables.
