Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 2 tsp
- seedless raisins - 1/2 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- curry powder - 1 Tbsp
- turmeric - 1/2 Tbsp
- onions - 2 item
- chutney - 3 Tbsp
- slice bread - 1 item
- cooking oil or butter - 1 item
- minced meat mutton beef or leftover meat - 2 3
- lemon or bay leaves or grated yellow rind of 1 lemon - 4 item
- vinegar or juice of 1 lemon - 2 Tbsp
- almonds, quartered - 6 item
- rice and chutney - 1 item
How to make bobotie:
Preheat the oven to 350°. Peel and slice the onions thinly. Fry lightly in hot oil and if uncooked meat is used, fry with the onions until slightly cooked and crumbly. Soak the bread in the milk and squeeze out the milk. Mash the bread. Mix all thRecipe categories: Main dish, Meat, Beef.
