Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 oz
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • garlic salt - 1 Tbsp
  • grated cheese - 2 c
  • cracker crumbs - 2 c
  • can sliced mushrooms, drained - 1 item
  • large onion, chopped - 1 item
  • stalks celery, chopped - 2 item
  • cooked rice - 2 c
  • red pepper - 1/2 tsp
  • crab meat - 1 pt
  • Tabasco - 1 tsp
  • can mushroom soup - 1 item
  • large bell pepper, chopped - 1 item
  • peeled, raw shrimp - 1 lb

How to make blend of the bayou:

Melt cream cheese and butter. Saute shrimp, onion, pepper and celery in 2 tablespoons butter and add to first mixture. Add soup, mushrooms, seasonings, crab meat and rice. Mix well. Place in a 2-quart casserole dish and top with grated cheese and cracker crumbs. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes at 350°, or until bubbly. Serves 8 and leftovers freeze well.
