Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1/3 c
  • cream cheese - 8 oz
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/8 tsp
  • water - 1 c
  • oil - 1/3 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • chocolate chips - 6 oz
  • egg - 1 item
  • vinegar - 1 Tbsp
  • cocoa powder - 1/4 c
  • flour all-purpose

How to make black bottom cupcakes:

Cream together cheese, egg, 1/3 cup sugar and 1/8 teaspoon salt. Stir in chocolate chips. Set aside. Sift flour, sugar, cocoa, soda and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Add water, oil, vinegar and vanilla. Mix well. Place second mixture on bottom of cupcake liners. Drop large spoonful of cream cheese filling on top. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Yield: 2 dozen.
