Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- salt - 4 tsp
- water - 10 c
- vinegar - 2 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- oregano - 1/4 tsp
- cloves garlic - 4 item
- olive oil - 2/3 c
- green pepper - 1 item
- black beans - 1 lb
- dry wine - 2 tsp
- laurel leaf - 1 item
- big onion, minced - 1 item
How to make black beans:
Wash beans and put them in water for several hours. Cook them in same water. In a separate pan, heat the 2/3 cup olive oil. Saute the onion, green pepper and garlic; add to beans. Also add salt, pepper, oregano, lauren leaf and sugar. Bring to boil; cook for another hour. Add vinegar and dry wine and cook at low heat for another hour. When ready to serve, add the 2 teaspoons olive oil.Excellent over white rice or as soup! Enjoy! Serves approximately 8.
