Best chocolate cake

Ingredients/Components

• sugar
• shortening - 1/2 c
• eggs - 2 item
• chocolate - 2 sq
• flour - 2 c
• soda - 1 tsp
• sour milk - 1 c
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• water - 1/2 c
• vanilla - 1 tsp
• few drops red food coloring - 1 item
• Then add all but last 3
• butter or margarine - 1/2 c
• egg - 1 item
• powdered sugar 3 1/2 c - 1 lb
• condensed milk - 1/4 c
• chopped nuts optional - 1 c

How to make best chocolate cake:

Mix first 3 ingredients well. Then add all but last 3. Add them last. Mix well. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes in 13 x 9-inch pan or make 2 or 3 layers and bake for 20 minutes. Frost layers with Uncooked Fudge Frosting.Uncooked Fudge Frosting:4 sq. chocolate1/2 c. butter or margarine1 egg1 lb. powdered sugar (3 1/2 c.)1/4 c. condensed milk1 tsp. vanilla1 c. chopped nuts (optional) Melt chocolate and butter together. Combine rest of ingredients, beat well. Makes good fudge also, refrigerate for fudge.
