Ingredients/Components
- water - 2 c
- bay leaf - 1 item
- oregano - 1 tsp
- basil - 1 tsp
- carrots - 3 c
- potatoes - 3 c
- thyme - 1 tsp
- celery - 2 c
- Worcestershire - 1 Tbsp
- small onions - 2 item
- garlic - 1 tsp
- stew meat - 2 lb
- can V-8 - 12 oz
- beef bouillon cubes, dissolved - 2 item
- small bag frozen peas or mixed vegetables - 1 item
How to make beef stew:
Roll stew meat in flour and brown in small amount of shortening. Combine all ingredients in large covered pot. Make sure there is enough liquid to cover all ingredients. Add water or more V-8 if necessary. Bake at 275° for 5 hours. Do not peek.Recipe categories: Main dish, Beef, Stew.
