  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • vinegar - 2/3 c
  • salad oil - 1/2 c
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
  • onion - 1/2 c
  • green pepper - 1 c
  • green beans - 2 qt
  • clove garlic, split - 1 item
  • yellow wax beans - 1 qt
  • large can red kidney beans - 1 item

How to make beans salad:

Cook green beans or heat, if canned. Drain. Let cool. In a large bowl, combine cooled beans, kidney beans, pepper and onion. In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine the vinegar, sugar, salad oil, garlic salt, Worcestershire sauce and pepper. Shake well; discard garlic. Pour over bean mixture; toss until well mixed. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours.
