Barbecued pork ribs
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 2 c
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/3 c
- chili powder - 1 tsp
- catsup - 1 c
- Tabasco sauce - 1/4 tsp
- celery seed - 1 tsp
- liquid smoke - 2 tsp
- spareribs, cut in pieces - 3 4
How to make barbecued pork ribs:
Place ribs in shallow roasting pan, meaty side up. Sprinkle with 2 teaspoons liquid smoke. Roast in hot oven at 450° for 30 minutes. Combine remaining ingredients except smoke and celery seed. Bring to boiling and pour over ribs. Continue baking in moderate 350° oven for 1 hour or until tender. Baste ribs with sauce every 15 or 20 minutes. Fifteen minutes before ribs are done, sprinkle with remaining liquid smoke and celery seed. Serves 4.Recipe categories: Main dish, Pork, Pork rib.
