Barbecue spareribs
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 tsp
- vinegar - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- light brown sugar - 1/2 c
- Worcestershire sauce - 1/4 c
- chopped onions - 2 Tbsp
- mustard - 1/2 tsp
- ketchup - 1/2 c
- chili sauce - 1/4 c
- dash of cayenne pepper - 1 item
- clove garlic, crushed - 1 item
- spareribs - 4 lb
- pepper sauce - 1/4 tsp
- onion, peeled and quartered - 1 item
How to make barbecue spareribs:
In large kettle, place ribs, onion quarters, salt and pepper sauce in 3 quarts water. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered, 1 1/2 hours until very tender. Drain. Meanwhile, make barbecue sauce in medium saucepan. Combine all ingredients for sauce and simmer, uncovered, for one hour, stirring occasionally. Arrange ribs on rack in broiler pan, basting frequently with sauce 10 minutes on each side.Recipe categories: Weeknight, Main dish, Oven.
