Ingredients/Components
- water - 1 c
- vinegar - 5 Tbsp
- stick butter - 1 item
- paprika - 1 item
- Worcestershire sauce - 2 Tbsp
- garlic salt - 1 item
- mustard - 4 Tbsp
- hot sauce - 1 item
- bottle ketchup - 1/2 item
- seasoning salt - 1 item
- large can tomato sauce - 1 item
- large lemon, sliced - 1 item
- large bottle Open Pit barbecue sauce - 1 item
- small box pickling spice - 1/2 item
How to make barbecue sauce:
Mix all ingredients (except paprika, seasoning salt, garlic salt, Accent and hot sauce) in a large pot over medium heat. Add the paprika, salt, Accent and hot sauce according to your own taste. Reduce heat and simmer over low flame for about 1 hour. Makes approximately 1/2 gallon of sauce.Recipe categories: Condiments, etc., Southern u.s., Cajun.
