Barbecue sauce
Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
- water - 1/2 c
- vinegar - 1/4 c
- oleo - 3 Tbsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 Tbsp
- chopped onion - 1/2 c
- ketchup - 1 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- yellow mustard - 2 tsp
How to make barbecue sauce:
Slowly cook onions in oleo until tender. Add remaining ingredients and simmer about 5 minutes. This sauce is very good for chicken or pork. I often add browned spareribs and simmer for about an hour. Excellent! Recipe easily doubles.Recipe categories: Condiments, etc., Southern u.s., Cajun.
