Barbecue sauce
Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 1 Tbsp
- water - 1 Tbsp
- vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- dry mustard - 1 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 2 Tbsp
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- cloves garlic - 2 item
- liquid sweetener - 1 tsp
- fat - 1 Tbsp
- medium onion, chopped fine - 1 item
- low calorie catsup - 1 c
- pinch of oregano - 1 item
How to make barbecue sauce:
Place fat in heavy pan. Add 1 tablespoon water. Add onion and brown. Add remaining ingredients and simmer over low flame for 1 hour. Remove garlic from sauce. This sauce may be used for basting meat or chicken while cooking or as a hot dip for meats at the table. Contains 240 calories.
