Banana split salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- chopped pecans - 1/4 c
- flour - 5 Tbsp
- butter - 1 Tbsp
- water - 2 c
- can crushed pineapple - 1 oz
- dash of salt - 1 item
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
- large marshmallows - 8 item
- egg, beaten - 1 item
- bananas, sliced - 2 item
- heavy cream, whipped - 1 c
- lemon gelatin - 1 pkg
How to make banana split salad:
Drain pineapple, reserving 1/2 cup of juice. Bring water to a boil; add gelatin and marshmallows. Stir until dissolved. Cool until partially set. Toss bananas and lemon juice; fold bananas and pineapple into gelatin. Pour into 9-inch dish; chill until firm. Combine sugar, flour and salt. Stir in egg and pineapple juice. Cook and stir until thickened. Remove from heat. Add butter; cool. Fold in whipped cream and spread over gelatin. Sprinkle with nuts. Chill overnight.Recipe categories: Desserts, Salads, Gelatin.
