Ingredients/Components
- graham cracker crumbs - 2 c
- sugar - 1/2 c
- chopped nuts - 1 item
- egg whites - 3 item
- powdered sugar
- large bananas - 3 item
- large can crushed pineapple, drained - 1 item
- large tub Cool Whip - 1 item
- sticks melted oleo - 2 item
- maraschino cherries, cut in 1/2
How to make banana split cake:
1st Layer: Mix graham cracker crumbs with 1 stick melted oleo and 1/2 cup sugar. Press crumbs into pan and bake at 350° about 10 minutes.2nd Layer: Beat powdered sugar, 1 stick oleo (softened) and egg whites at high about 10 minutes; then spread on top of cooked graham cracker crumbs. On that put bananas (cut lengthwise). Press into powdered sugar.
3rd Layer: Add crushed pineapple (drained).
4th Layer: Add Cool Whip.
5th Layer: Top with chopped nuts and maraschino cherries (cut in half).
Keep in refrigerator and cut before bananas turn dark.
