Banana nut bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- sifted flour
- mashed ripe bananas - 1 c
How to make banana nut bread:
Cream together shortening, sugar and eggs; beat well. Sift dry ingredients together. Add to cream mixture alternately with banana, blending well after each addition. Stir in nuts. Pour into well greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes or until well done. Remove; cool on rack. Wrap and store overnight.Recipe categories: Breads, Fruit, Yeast breads.
