Banana nut bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- margarine or butter, softened - 1/3 c
- eggs - 2 item
- mashed ripe bananas 3 to 4 medium
- water - 1/3 c
- flour not self-rising
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 1/4 tsp
- chopped nuts - 1/2 c
How to make banana nut bread:
Heat oven to 350°. Grease bottom of a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Mix sugar and margarine in a 2 1/2-quart bowl. Stir in eggs until blended. Add bananas and water; beat 30 seconds. Stir in remaining ingredients except nuts until moistened. Stir in nuts. Pour into pan. Bake until a wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 55 to 60 minutes. Cool 5 minutes.
