Banana cream pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2/3 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
- evaporated milk - 1 c
- water - 1 c
- egg yolks - 3 item
- baked 9-inch pie shell - 1 item
- sliced banana
- whipped cream or whipped topping - 1 item
How to make banana cream pie:
Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt and egg yolks together thoroughly in saucepan. Combine evaporated milk and water; stir into sugar mixture until smooth. Cook over low heat, stirring until thickened, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and let cool completely. Arrange bananas in baked pie shell. Cover with cool mixture.
