  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • chopped pecans - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • brown sugar - 3/4 c
  • buttermilk - 1/2 c
  • baking soda
  • mashed bananas - 1 c
  • cinnamon optional - 1/2 tsp
  • soft shortening part butter - 1 c

How to make banana cookies:

Blend shortening, sugar and eggs well. Stir in bananas, buttermilk and vanilla. Blend in flour, baking soda and salt. Add pecans. Chill 1 hour. Heat oven to 375°. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto Pam sprayed cookie sheet. Bake about 10
