Chocolate chip cookies

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 c
• eggs - 2 item
• vanilla - 2 tsp
• butter or margarine - 2/3 c
• salt - 1 tsp
• chopped nuts - 1 c
• flour - 3 c
• brown sugar - 1 c
• baking soda - 1 tsp
• chocolate chips - 12 oz
• shortening - 2/3 c

How to make chocolate chip cookies:

Blend shortening, butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients. (For a softer, rounder cookie, add 1/2 cup flour.) Drop by teaspoon 2-inches apart on cookie sheet and bake 8 to 10 minutes. Cool slightly before taking from cookie sheet.
