  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • flour
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • baking soda - 1 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • powdered sugar - 1 lb
  • oleo - 3/4 c
  • buttermilk no substitute - 1/4 c
  • mashed bananas medium or large size - 3 item
  • Add buttermilk and dry ingredients, then bananas

How to make banana cake:

Mix shortening (oleo), sugar and eggs together. Add buttermilk and dry ingredients, then bananas. Add vanilla. Bake 30 minutes at 350° in a 9 1/2 x 13-inch pan.Frosting:1 stick oleo1 egg1 tsp. vanilla1 lb. powdered sugar Mix together the oleo, egg and vanilla and nearly all of the powdered sugar. Garnish with chopped nuts.
