Banana bread

Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 1 c
• shortening - 1/2 c
• eggs - 2 item
• mashed bananas - 3 item
• flour - 2 c
• baking soda - 1 tsp
• salt - 1/2 tsp
• chopped nuts optional - 1 item

How to make banana bread:

Cream shortening and sugar. Add mashed bananas and eggs. Sift flour, salt and baking soda. Add to creamed ingredients. Pour into a greased loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Freezes well.
