- large baking potatoes - 4 item
- margarine - 2/3 c
- plain flour - 2/3 c
- milk - 6 c
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- green onions, chopped - 4 item
- slices bacon, cooked and crumbled - 12 item
- shredded Cheddar cheese

How to make baked potato soup:
Bake potatoes at 400° for 1 hour. Cool slightly, cut potatoes in half and scoop out pulp. Melt butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat. Add flour stirring constantly until smooth. Cook 1 minute. Gradually add 6 cups of milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture is thickened and bubbly. Add potato pulp and other ingredients except sour cream. Cook until thoroughly heated.
