Baked german potato salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2/3 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- water
- cider vinegar - 1 c
- pepper - 1/4 tsp
- chopped onion - 1 c
- chopped celery - 1 c
- sliced radishes - 1 c
- slices bacon, diced - 8 item
- cooked potatoes, cubed - 8 c
How to make baked german potato salad:
Fry bacon until crisp. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup grease. Return grease to skillet; add celery and onions. Cook 1 minute. Blend in flour. Stir in water and vinegar. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture is thick and bubbly. Stir in sugar, salt and pepper. Put potatoes and bacon in a greased 3-quart casserole. Pour thickened sauce over potatoes and bacon. Stir, cover and bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Stir in radishes. Serve.Recipe categories: Salads, Potato, Vegetables.
