Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- eggs - 2 item
- dash of salt - 1 item
- skim milk - 2 c
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
How to make baked custard:
Beat eggs slightly; add sugar and salt. Scald milk until crinkly film forms on top. Stir in egg mixture gradually. Add vanilla. Pour into custard cups or baking dish; set in pan of hot water. Sprinkle nutmeg on top. Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes until knife inserted comes out clean. Remove from pan of water. Serve cool or chilled.
