How to make baked apples:
Core apples. Pierce skin. Place in 2-quart glass dish. Spoon sugar, cinnamon and butter into cavity. Cover and cook until tender. (Let stand before testing doneness.) Microwave as follows: One apple for 2 to 3 minutes; two apples for 3 to 3 1/2 minutes, four apples for 4 to 5 minutes and six apples for 6 to 6 1/2 minutes.Variations: Fill center with mincemeat, cranberry sauce, raisins, nuts, cinnamon candy or granola. Add 1 1/2 to 2 minutes extra.
