Bacon potato chowder
Ingredients/Components
- milk
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 1 c
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- chopped onions - 1 c
- can condensed cream of chicken soup - 1 3/4
- chopped potatoes - 2 c
- slices bacon, cut in 1/2-inch pieces - 8 item
How to make bacon potato chowder:
In 3-quart saucepan, cook bacon over medium heat until browned. Add onions and continue cooking until tender (2 to 3 minutes); drain. Add potatoes, water, salt and pepper. Continue cooking until potatoes are tender (15 to 20 minutes). Reduce heat to low and stir in soup, sour cream and milk. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until heated through (3 to 5 minutes). Season to taste. Makes 6 (1 cup) servings.Recipe categories: Low protein, Soups & stews, Chowders.
