Bacon potato chowder
Ingredients/Components
- milk
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water
- dairy sour cream - 1 c
- chopped onion - 1 c
- can cream of chicken soup - 1 1/2
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- chopped parsley - 2 Tbsp
- cubed potatoes
- slices bacon - 8 item
How to make bacon potato chowder:
Fry bacon until crisp in a 3-quart saucepan. Add onion and saute 2 to 3 minutes. Pour off fat. Add potatoes and water. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer 10 to 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Stir in soup and sour cream; gradually add milk. Add salt, pepper and parsley. Heat to serving temperature. (Do not boil.) Yield: 7 cups.Recipe categories: Low protein, Soups & stews, Chowders.
