  • lemon extract - 2 tsp
  • apricot nectar - 2/3 c
  • Wesson oil - 3/4 c
  • grated rind of 1 lemon
  • Duncan Hines yellow cake mix - 1 pkg
  • egg yolks save whites for later use - 4 item
  • Beat for 5 minutes on low speed

How to make apricot nectar cake:

Mix all the ingredients, except egg whites, in one bowl. Beat for 5 minutes on low speed. Beat egg whites stiff and fold in cake mixture. Bake in greased and floured tube pan for 35 to 45 minutes at 350°. Turn out on rack. Have glaze ready and apply while cake is hot.Glaze: juice of 1 lemon grated rind of 1 lemon1/2 to 2 c. powdered sugar Combine ingredients.
