Applesauce nut bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 3 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- brown sugar
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- oil - 1/3 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- sifted flour - 2 c
- applesauce - 1 c
- chopped pecans or walnuts - 3/4 c
How to make applesauce nut bread:
Topping:1/4 c. brown sugar1/4 c. chopped pecans or walnuts1/4 tsp. cinnamon Mix sugar, applesauce, oil, eggs and milk in large bowl. Sift dry ingredients together and add to applesauce mixture. Beat until well mixed. Stir in nuts. Turn batter into well-greased loaf pan. Combine all topping ingredients and sprinkle over batter. Bake at 350° for 1 hour. Cap loosely with foil after 30 minutes of baking. Remove from pan and cool on rack. Yield: 1 loaf.Recipe categories: Low protein, Breads, Very low carbs.
