  • sugar
  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • eggs - 2 item
  • salt - 3/4 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 3/4 c
  • flour - 2 c
  • nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • cocoa - 2 Tbsp
  • chopped dates - 3/4 c
  • baking soda
  • raisins - 3/4 c
  • Crisco - 1/2 c
  • cloves - 1/4 tsp
  • allspice - 1/4 tsp
  • applesauce
  • to 8 sliced cherries - 6 item

How to make applesauce cake:

Cream the sugar, applesauce, Crisco and eggs. Add dry ingredients, mixing well. Fold in your fruits and baking soda. Bake in a 350° oven for 60 minutes, using a 10-inch tube pan. Makes 10 to 12 servings.
