Apple stuffing
Ingredients/Components
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- chopped celery - 1/4 c
- chicken broth - 1/2 c
- chopped onions - 1/4 c
- poultry seasoning - 1/2 tsp
- dry bread crumbs - 4 c
- fresh ground black pepper - 1 item
- dried sage - 1/2 tsp
- diced apples - 1 c
How to make apple stuffing:
Cook onions and celery in margarine for 5 minutes or until tender. Combine with all other dry ingredients. Add broth and toss lightly. Use to stuff a turkey. Stuffs a 10 to 12 pound turkey or 12 servings.Variation: Combine 1 cup dried fruits (apricots, prunes or peaches) with 1/2 cup raisins. Simmer in water in a covered saucepan for 20 minutes. Cool slightly and combine with all other ingredients in apple stuffing.
