Apple fritters
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 item
- milk
- butter - 1/2 c
- egg yolks - 2 item
- cooking oil - 2 Tbsp
- plain flour - 1 c
- egg white - 1 item
- cooking apples - 1 lb
- a pinch of salt - 1 item
- juice from 1 lemon
How to make apple fritters:
Sift flour and salt into medium size mixing bowl. Make a well in the center and add eggs and oil. Mix eggs and oil slowly with a wooden spoon into flour, gradually adding milk. Beat well, then cover and keep cool for 30 minutes.Peel and core apples. Slice into rings 3/4-inch thick. Sprinkle with lemon juice and sugar. Dip apples into batter and fry in the hot butter. Drain and serve immediately.
