  • sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • butter - 1 c
  • dash of salt - 1 item
  • egg yolk - 1 item
  • Mold into pans
  • thinly sliced apples 2 lb - 6 c

How to make apple pie:

Mix ingredients with electric mixer at medium speed until butter has broken up. Mold into pans. Makes enough crust for 2 (9 x 13-inch) pans or equivalent. Can be frozen or refrigerated.Filling:1 c. sugar1 tsp. cinnamon4 Tbsp. flour dash of salt6 c. thinly sliced apples (2 lb. or 4 large apples) First mix all dry ingredients in large bowl. Add apple slices to bowl once pared and cut. Stir occasionally to distribute sugar over apple slices. All slices should be coated. Add more flour, if necessary, if apples are exceptionally juicy. Place filling in pan with crust. Top with brown sugar, if desired. Bake at 425° for 45 to 50 minutes, or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown.
