Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/3 c
- cinnamon - 1/4 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour
- butter - 1 item
- water - 2 c
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
- baking powder - 2 tsp
- shortening - 2/3 c
- peeled and cored apples leave whole - 1 item
- cinnamon or red cinnamon candy - 1/4 tsp
How to make apple dumplings:
Crust:2 1/4 c. flour2 tsp. baking powder1/2 tsp. salt2/3 c. shortening1/2 c. milk Syrup:1 1/2 c. sugar1/4 tsp. cinnamon or red cinnamon candy1/4 tsp. nutmeg2 c. water Sprinkle apples with sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg; dot with butter. Wrap with crust.Cook syrup 5 minutes. Pour over apples in baking dish and bake at 375° for 40 minutes or until golden brown. Yummy.
