Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1/2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- confectioners sugar
- shortening - 1 c
- stick oleo - 1/2 item
- peeled apples - 6 c
- egg, divided - 1 item
How to make apple danish:
Glaze:1/2 c. confectioners sugar1 tsp. vanilla1/8 tsp. salt2 to 3 Tbsp. milk Mix flour and salt; cut in shortening. Lightly beat egg yolk in milk. Add to 1st mixture. Roll out 1/2 dough; pat into jelly roll pan (11 x 16-inches). Arrange apples on dough. Combine sugar, flour and cinnamon and sprinkle over apples. Dot with oleo. Roll out rest of dough and cover apples. Brush with lightly beaten egg white. Bake at 375° for 45 minutes. Spread with glaze while warm.Recipe categories: Fruit, Breakfast, Apple.
