Ingredients/Components
- butter, softened - 1/3 c
- packed brown sugar - 2/3 3/4
- ground cinnamon - 3/4 tsp
- ground nutmeg - 3/4 tsp
- all-purpose flour* - 1/2 c
- oats - 1/2 c
- sliced tart apples about 4 medium - 4 c
How to make apple crisp:
Heat oven to 375°. Arrange apples in a greased square 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan. Mix remaining ingredients; sprinkle over apples. Bake until topping is golden brown and apples are tender, about 30 minutes. Serve warm, if desired, with cream or ice cream. Makes 6 servings.*Self-rising flour can be used in this recipe.
