Apple crisp



  • packed brown sugar - 2/3 3/4
  • all-purpose flour - 1/2 c
  • margarine or butter, softened - 1/3 c
  • ground cinnamon - 3/4 tsp
  • ground nutmeg - 3/4 tsp
  • tart apples - 4 c
  • oats - 1/2 c

How to make apple crisp:

Heat oven to 375°. Arrange apples in greased square pan, 8 x 8 x 2-inch. Mix remaining ingredients. Sprinkle over apples. Bake until topping is golden brown and apples are tender, about 30 minutes. Serve warm and, if desired, with cream or ice cream. Yields 6 servings.
