Ingredients/Components
- cider - 2 c
- Jonathan or Winesap apples - 1 item
- brown sugar to each c - 1/2 c
How to make apple butter:
Wash and quarter 4 pounds of apples. Cook slowly until soft in 2 cups of cider. Put through strainer. Add to each cup of pulp 1/2 cup brown sugar. To entire mixture, add 3 teaspoons cinnamon, 1 1/2 teaspoons cloves, 1/2 teaspoon allspice, grated lRecipe categories: Fruit, Apple, Condiments, etc..
