Almond biscotti
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- granulated sugar - 1 c
- flour
- water - 2 Tbsp
- oil - 1/3 c
- light brown sugar - 1 c
- powdered cloves - 1/2 tsp
- each: cinnamon and baking powder - 2 tsp
- blanched almonds whole or slightly crushed - 2 c
- extra egg yolk, mixed with a little water - 1 item
How to make almond biscotti:
Mix the first 8 ingredients in large mixing bowl, then add flour and almonds until well blended. Separate dough into 3 parts; roll each into a "rope." Place on greased cookie sheet and flatten slightly. Brush with egg and water mixture. Bake at 375° for 20 minutes, until center is slightly firm. Cool slightly. Slice diagonally with sharp knife.
