Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- baking powder - 4 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 3 tsp
- warm water - 1/2 c
- yeast - 1 pkg
How to make alabama biscuits:
Dissolve yeast in water. Mix in other ingredients. Stir well. Put on floured board. Knead a little, keeping dough as soft as possible. Cut out biscuits. Dip both sides of biscuits in melted butter.
