Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3 c
  • sticks margarine - 2 item
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • large eggs - 5 item
  • plain flour - 3 c
  • Crisco - 1/2 c
  • lemon extract - 3 Tbsp
  • 7-Up - 1 c

How to make 7-up pound cake:

Cream margarine, Crisco and sugar very well. Add eggs, one at a time, salt and lemon extract. Add alternately the flour and 7-Up. Beat until real smooth. Bake in preheated oven (300°) 1 hour and 15 minutes in a tube pan, not a Bundt pan.
