  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 5 item
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • cornstarch
  • egg yolks - 3 item
  • butter or Crisco - 1/2 c
  • lemon extract
  • bottle 7-Up - 1 oz
  • Add eggs, one at a time

How to make 7-up cake:

Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat until fluffy. Add flour and salt; fold in lemon extract and 7-Up. Pour into tube pan and bake 1 1/2 hours at 325°. Do not open oven door until done.Frosting:1 large can crushed pineapple3 egg yolks2 heaping Tbsp. cornstarch1 stick margarine1 1/2 c. sugar Mix all ingredients in saucepan and cook until thick, stirring constantly. Turn heat down on low and stir every few minutes, then let simmer. Put on cake when cool.
