Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- cornstarch
- egg yolks - 3 item
- butter or Crisco - 1/2 c
- lemon extract
- bottle 7-Up - 1 oz
- Add eggs, one at a time
How to make 7-up cake:
Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat until fluffy. Add flour and salt; fold in lemon extract and 7-Up. Pour into tube pan and bake 1 1/2 hours at 325°. Do not open oven door until done.Frosting:1 large can crushed pineapple3 egg yolks2 heaping Tbsp. cornstarch1 stick margarine1 1/2 c. sugar Mix all ingredients in saucepan and cook until thick, stirring constantly.
