- milk - 1/4 c
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- butter - 1 c
- water - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- confectioners sugar
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- almond extract - 1 tsp
- chopped walnuts - 1 c
How to make white texas sheet cake:
Frosting:1/2 c. butter4 1/2 c. confectioners sugar1 c. chopped walnuts1/4 c. milk1/2 tsp. almond extract In a large saucepan, bring butter and water to a boil. Remove from heat. Stir in flour, sugar, eggs, sour cream, extract, salt and soda until smooth. Pour into greased jelly roll pan (15 x 10 x 1-inch). Bake at 375° for 20 to 22 minutes or until cake is golden and tests done. Cool 20 minutes. Yields 16 to 20 servings.Frosting: Combine butter and milk in pan. Bring to a boil; remove from heat. Add sugar and extract; mix well. Stir in walnuts. Spread over warm cake.
