Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 oz
  • Parmesan cheese - 1 item
  • oregano - 1/2 tsp
  • basil - 1/2 tsp
  • salt and pepper - 1 item
  • chopped green onions - 1 c
  • olive oil - 2 Tbsp
  • sliced mushrooms - 1 item
  • tomato, chopped - 1 item
  • clove garlic, crushed - 1 item
  • cans chopped or minced clams with juice - 2 1/2
  • cubed margarine - 1/4 Tbsp

How to make white clam sauce spaghetti:

Heat margarine and olive oil. Add chopped green onions and saute briefly. Add oregano, basil, garlic, tomato, mushrooms, salt, pepper and clam juice. Simmer briefly. Add clams and keep hot. Boil spaghetti and cook according to package. Drain and return to pan. Add sauce and 4 tablespoons Parmesan cheese.

Note: You can add more tomatoes and for a lower fat version, cut margarine and oil in half.
