White clam sauce
Ingredients/Components
- cloves garlic, minced - 3 item
- oregano - 1/4 tsp
- parsley - 2 Tbsp
- olive oil - 1/4 c
- crushed red pepper - 1/8 tsp
- cayenne pepper - 1/8 tsp
- clam juice
- cooked pasta penne works well - 1 lb
- cans chopped clams save liquid* - 2 oz
How to make white clam sauce:
*Fresh chopped clams work even better.Saut?© garlic and crushed pepper in olive oil until garlic is lightly browned. Add parsley, oregano, cayenne pepper and clam juice. Bring to a boil and add clams. Simmer for 5 minutes. Thicken with flour/water mixture, if desired. Serve immediately over cooked pasta.
