Waldorf salad
Ingredients/Components
- raisins - 1/2 c
- diced celery - 1 c
- fresh lemon juice - 1 tsp
- diced, unpeeled apples - 2 c
- chopped unsalted dry roasted walnuts - 1/4 c
- Yogurt Cheese - 1/2 c
- Mix well, cover and refrigerate
How to make waldorf salad:
Combine all ingredients. Mix well, cover and refrigerate. Serve cold. Serve over salad greens.Yogurt Cheese:1 (16 oz.) container plain nonfat yogurt Place a double thick layer of fine-mesh cotton cheesecloth or paper coffee filters inside a colander that doesn't rust. Place colander in a deep bowl. Colander must not touch bottom of bowl. Pour yogurt into colander and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. Discard drained liquid and place yogurt in a small bowl. Cover and refrigerate.Recipe categories: American, Salads, Vegetables.
