Vidalia onion pie
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 3/4 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- oleo - 2 Tbsp
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- shredded cheese - 1/4 c
- melted oleo - 1/4 c
- pie shell - 1 item
- saltine cracker crumbs - 1 c
- thinly sliced Vidalia onions
How to make vidalia onion pie:
Combine cracker crumbs and 1/4 cup oleo together. Saute onions and 2 tablespoons of oleo until tender, but not browned. Put onions into the pie shell. Combine next 4 ingredients; mix well and pour over the onions. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
